NHS 70th Birthday

To celebrate the amazing service the NHS has given in the last 70 years we will be celebrating with a tea party and raffle for charity on the surgery carpark between 12-2pm on 5th July 2018. Everyone is welcome.

Last Friday sixteen folk gathered at Abbey Medical Centre at the start of the first Walking for Health event in Kenilworth.  Thankfully the rain subsided as the group enjoyed the pleasant 30 minute walk that centre manager Ryan Smith has laid out in Abbey Fields.  Although the scheme has been running nationally for around 14 years, Kenilworth has previously been slow to get involved.  But the Abbey practice, along with its sister practice Castle, is determined to put this right.  It’s an ideal initiative for those wishing to get more active and need the right opportunity to get started.  Ryan says “we are now doing this walk every Friday at 12:30pm, and will soon be adding further routes to suit all ages and abilities.  Anyone can take part in the walk, and are invited to enjoy a cuppa in the Kenilworth Centre afterwards to carry on chatting with their fellow walkers.”

Anyone interested in taking part can ask at Abbey Medical Centre reception, email Ryan at, or call Clive Reynolds on 07966 371732 for further information.
