Physician Associate

Physician Associates are medically trained healthcare professionals, who work alongside doctors and provide medical care as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. They can examine patients, prescribe medicine, order diagnostic tests and perform a host of other duties that doctors also do.

Michelle is trained in all aspects of Chronic Disease Management, with an interest in Respiratory Diseases. ARTP Spirometry, Travel Health, Immunisation, Family planning, Smoking Cessation, Cervical Cytology, Warfarin initiation and monitoring, ECG’s, Hormone Replacement Therapy and all aspects of General Practice. With over 20years experience in General Practice she is more than happy to help with all aspects of your health. As our Nurse Manager she is more than happy to help with any compliments or complaints you may have about the Nursing Service. - Nurse Diana George – Female, Practice Nurse
Dianna is extensively trained in Anti-Coagulation and Warfarin monitoring and initiation. She is experienced in Immunisation, Ear syringing, Ring Pessary fitting and changing, NHS Health and Over 75 checks. Dianne runs our Domiciliary Anti-Coagulation service. - Mrs Jill White – Female, Practice Nurse
Jill is trained in Immunisation, Warfarin monitoring, ECG’s, Hormone Replacement Therapy, NHS Health Checks, Over 75 checks, Cholesterol management and Diabetes and has extensive experience of Cardio vascular diseases. Jill is trained in cryotherapy and all aspects of wound care and compression bandaging. - Miss Jordan Parchment – Practice Nurse
Jordan is our newly qualified Registered Nurse and presently being trained in all aspects of Primary Care including Chronic Disease Management, Immunisation, Cryotherapy and all aspects of wound care and compression bandaging. - Claire Craige – Practice Nurse
Claire is competent in cervical screening (smears), wound care and immunisation amongst other treatment room skills. She undertakes NHS health checks, travel health, contraception and learning disability reviews. She also performs reviews of chronic disease management including primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and asthma. - Maddie Kemp

Helen is an experienced HCA, she is fully trained in phlebotomy, blood pressure checks, ECG’s, Flu, Pneumonia and Shingles vaccinations, NHS Health Checks and wound care. - Lisa Edwards – Female, Phlebotomist/Receptionist
Lisa is a fully trained phlebotomist and is keen to develop her role into a HCA with further training.

Clinical Pharmacists in GP surgeries will resolve day-to-day medicine issues and consult with and treat patients directly. This includes providing help to manage long-term conditions, advising those taking multiple medicines (polypharmacy) and delivering clinical advice about treatments.

Oken Nurses offer an initial assessment, give clinical and medication reviews, discuss advanced care planning at end of life, as well as supporting relatives and care home staff. Not only do they visit acutely unwell patients, they are also proactive at following up vulnerable patients discharged from hospital.
