Mental Health Workshops for Children and Families

The Mental Health in Schools Team (part of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust) is running a series of family workshops across Warwickshire this August. Designed for parents and carers to attend together with their child, the sessions are activity-based, relaxed and practical. There are three to choose from: Five Ways to Wellbeing, a fun, interactive session exploring simple activities that support positive mental health; Calm: A Worry Workshop for Families, which looks at how worry and anxiety show up in our thoughts, feelings and bodies and introduces tools like breathing, grounding and helpful thinking; and a Transitions Workshop for Year 6 children moving up to Year 7 in September, helping both children and parents feel more prepared and confident about the change. Sessions run at venues in Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon and last between one and three hours depending on the workshop, with breaks and simple refreshments provided — do bring your own drinks and snacks as well. To book, scan the QR code on the poster below or email mhst@covwarkpt.nhs.uk stating which date you’d like to attend.
